Frandsen Corporation is searching for an AP/AR Clerk to join our corporate and manufacturing teams in Rush City, Minnesota.

The AP/AR Clerk receives and verifies invoices for accuracy, pays invoices in a timely manner, ensures all sales and use tax laws are followed on purchases and ensures accurate reports are filed.  This position is also responsible for posting all customer payments and collections.

Primary Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

  • Preparation of, entering and electronically filing of all invoices on a daily basis
  • Reviewing the AP aging to ensure all payables are being paid
  • Verifying all vendor payments are made by reviewing all vendor statements and past due notices
  • Answering accounts payable questions from vendors and co-workers

Accounts Receivable

  • Processing of billing for shipments on customer orders
  • Ensuring all customer payments are entered and posted in the ERP system on a daily basis
  • Reviewing A/R aging once a week
  • Developing and updating Past Due Listing
  • Collection calls and emails and keeping the Director of Accounting updated on large collection account

Month and Year End Activities

  • Running Month and Year End Reports
  • Reconciling open accounts payable to general ledger

Other

  • Update Vendor Master and Customer Master within ERP System to reflect address, payment or term changes, and review and update work instructions as needed

To be successful as the AP/AR Clerk, you must have the following:

  • Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience
  • General understanding of the laws and regulations within the accounting and finance industry
  • Experience using Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Database application experience required, preferably in SAGE, IQMS
